  1. Centipede (C64)
  2. In order to satisfy my lust for Centipede I checked out the ZX Spectrum (Timex 2068) version on tape. Got a load error but managed to get it running nonetheless. It's may not be a legal port but it was produced and brought out on tape commercially back in the day. It is partly written in basic but the ZX was quite a fast machine when it came to basic so that doesn't have to be a drawback - even with arcade games. And this version really plays well and feels like the 'original'.
  3. Just a quick video of me checking out the Vic-20 game catalog. This time it's Centipede. I may have to revisit this in another video as the video is fuzzy as h*ll. It plays at quite a different pace when compared to the 2600 version which is blazingly fast! Love to get my hands on the Millipede 2600 game as this is awesome and is just as fast and introduces even more action into what is basically the same game!
  4. Okay so it's the sequel. The Nes goes without the original - at least to my knowledge is does. Check it out. It plays well. The 2600 version is just as good and very similar to the Centipede game on that console.
  5. Checking out Centipede on the Mattel Intellivision.
  6. Checking out Centipede on the Gameboy Advance through the Gameboy Player on the Gamecube. I used VirtualDub to get rid of the ever present gameboy-player-'border'.
  7. My Centipede mania continues. This game is a pleasant surprise when you haven't played it before. The gameplay is quite fast. The 'ship/pod' controls very well with precise movements possible - even more so than on the 2600 on my systems at least. The spider is as creapy as the arcade original and the animations of all the on screen baddies is amazing. This shows off the 'arcade quality graphics and gameplay' of the Colecovision.
  8. Checking out Centipede on the Atari 7800 console.
  9. Checking out Centipede on the Atari 5200 console.

    Resembles Centipede - C64 (Re)Edition (HD)

Had to redo this video. In this tribute video I take a look at all the Centipede(like) games I could find on my C64 ending with the original Atari Centipede port for the C64. Have fun. Youtube claimed that this version containing music created by Mr Scruff (a demo music track included in Windows Vista) was violating copyrights so I had to change the soundtrack! Regardless of YT preventing fair use - check out his albums! If you want to check out my other 'resembles videos' take a look at the Tribute playlist.

Just a small test recording testing out my equipment.
