Classic carts back to back: Defender C64 vs VIC20
LactobacillusPrime posted a video in LactobacillusPrime (Marks Shmup Videos)
In this video I do a little comparison of the Defender game on both the C64 and the VIC-20. There even seems to be a huge difference in game play when it comes to the NTSC and the PAL C64 version in favour of the NTSC version. -
Centipede on the Commodore VIC-20

Just a quick video of me checking out the Vic-20 game catalog. This time it's Centipede. I may have to revisit this in another video as the video is fuzzy as h*ll. It plays at quite a different pace when compared to the 2600 version which is blazingly fast! Love to get my hands on the Millipede 2600 game as this is awesome and is just as fast and introduces even more action into what is basically the same game! -

LactobacillusPrime posted a video in STG Videos
In this little series 'Classic Cartridges Back To Back' I will be looking at two different ports of a particular game and choose which one I like best. This could be two ports on the same system(!) or on two different systems. This time it's Galaxians on the C64 and the VIC-20. Which port do I like best? Come check it out.-

Terraguard is a fixed screen shoot 'em up similar to Moon Cresta and Phoenix on the VIC-20. It was published by Creative Software in 1982 G A M E P L A Y The player controls a ship on the bottom of the screen and has to shoot at the aliens above him. There are three different aliens on each level that need to be destroyed by the player by shooting up at them. The three aliens are: jeeby-jeebys, eyes and mouths. Each alien gives a different score depending on how hard they are to take down.Destroy all the aliens and move up to the next level. The aliens have a mothership slowly descending down at the surface of the planet you're defending. To stop the descend the player needs to destroy all the three aliens. If you are too slow the ship will land and initiate it's transporter beam killing the player by beaming him/her up and probably have their brains for supper. The player gets three lives and gains a new life for each 1000 points scored. 10/10
